Volevo segnalarvi questo curioso progetto in svilluppo per la città di Milano.

"Bosco Verticale^© è un progetto di forestazione metropolitana che contribuisce a rigenerare l’ambiente e la biodiversità urbana senza implicare una espansione della città nel territorio, un nuovo modello di densificazione in altezza del verde e del costruito all’interno della città. Bosco Verticale si collega alle politiche di riforestazione e rinaturalizzazione dei bordi delle grandi aree urbane e metropolitane (i Metroboschi): due dispositivi di sopravvivenza ambientale, due modi per ricostruire un rapporto tra natura e città nel territorio e nelle città dell’Europa contemporanea."

"Il primo esempio di Bosco Verticale, composto da due torri di 110 e 76 metri, verrà realizzato nel centro di Milano all’interno del progetto Porta Nuova ai margini del quartiere Isola e ospiterà 900 alberi (alti fino a nove metri) oltre a numerosi arbusti e piante floreali. In termini di quantità di alberature il Bosco Verticale a Milano equivale a una superficie boschiva di circa 10.000 mq. Sparse sul territorio l’area equivalente in villette unifamiliari sarebbe pari a 50.000 mq.
Bosco Verticale è un sistema che ottimizza, recupera e produce energia. Il Bosco Verticale aiuta a costruire un microclima e a filtrare le polveri sottili nell’ambiente urbano. La diversità delle piante e le loro caratteristiche producono umidità, assorbono CO2 e polveri, producono ossigeno, proteggono dall’irraggiamento e dalla polluzione acustica, migliorando il comfort dell’abitare e risparmiando energia. L’irrigazione delle piante avverrà per larga parte attraverso un impianto centralizzato di filtrazione dell’acque grigie. Addizionalmente, una superficie di 500 mq di panelli solari e sistemi che usufruiscono dell’energia geotermica sono alcuni delle innovazione ecocompatibile che presenta il progetto.
La gestione del verde nel Bosco Verticale sarà centralizzata e affidata a una agenzia che avrà uno sportello aperto al pubblico. Ogni “cellula” di manutenzione del verde verticale potrà infatti essere utilizzata per la raccolta di dati e divulgazione utili a valutare nel tempo la funzionalità ecologica del sistema: un know-how tramandabile e divulgabile, che cresce e evolve insieme con il Bosco Verticale."
